About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Zone Construction Manager to oversee day-to-day construction activities within our assigned residential zones in Lagos. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining our high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency as we shape the future of Nigerian real estate.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all daily construction activities within the assigned residential zone, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and to specification.
- Monitor look-ahead programmes closely, proactively raising any potential risks of delay to the Construction Manager.
- Coordinate all subcontract trade gangs, carefully managing trade sequencing to eliminate clashes and optimize site productivity.
- Represent the zone at daily site coordination meetings, reporting on current status, critical issues, and resource requests.
- Produce and submit comprehensive daily progress reports for the zone to the Construction Manager.
- Enforce stringent quality standards, collaborating with Site Engineers and Quality Control Inspectors to respect all inspection hold points.
- Maintain strict site safety compliance in line with the HSE Plan and immediately report all incidents to the HSE Manager.
- Oversee temporary works within the zone, including scaffolding, hoarding, site access, and welfare facilities.
- Resolve design queries and address site conditions swiftly in coordination with Site Engineers.
- Collaborate seamlessly with parallel Zone Construction Managers to share best practices and ensure uniform construction standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven construction experience, featuring demonstrated success in managing multi-building residential projects in Lagos.
- Extensive technical knowledge of reinforced concrete construction, flat slab systems, blockwork, and general building works.
- Proven ability to successfully manage large, diverse teams across multiple concurrent structures.
- Active COREN registration or NIOB membership is strongly preferred.
