About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, designing, distributing, and financing innovative solar solutions for over 82 million people across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a talented Zonal Credit Manager to join our dynamic Risk department in Lagos, Nigeria. In this impactful role, you will champion our field collection efforts, mitigate operational risks, and ensure that our Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) products remain accessible and sustainable for our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities- Drive field collections and recovery processes for PAYG solar products across the assigned zone.
- Partner with the Credit Manager to develop and refine methodologies that improve existing collection processes.
- Identify, investigate, and report fraud cases through thorough data collection and stakeholder interviews.
- Conduct periodic spot-checks to ensure operational compliance and implement audit recommendations.
- Analyze customer data to identify, classify, and mitigate potential default risks.
- Prepare comprehensive field reports, presentations, and documentation highlighting key findings and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure early identification of red flags and escalate critical operational risks in a timely manner.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within a Control, Compliance, Risk, or Credit department, ideally within Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) or commercial banks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall data collection and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in fraud detection, investigation, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in both English and Yoruba is required to effectively engage with local clients and field teams.
