We are seeking a competent and proactive HSE Officer to support our Health, Safety, and Environmental operations, ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and effective operational controls across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily HSE monitoring across LMP and warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safe work practices, PPE requirements, housekeeping, and spill controls.
  • Collaborate closely with the Logistics Officer to enforce HSE compliance for inbound and outbound trucks, drivers, vendors, and third-party contractors.
  • Provide routine HSE oversight, administration, and reporting during the absence of the HSE Supervisor.
  • Deliver reliable HSE coverage during extended operations, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Support the monitoring, compilation, and maintenance of comprehensive HSE statistics and documentation.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and hazardous practices, promptly supporting the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote a robust safety culture, ensuring full compliance with internal company policies and relevant Nigerian regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Mandatory possession of ISPON Level 3 certification.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) will be a distinct added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven HSE experience, ideally within the oil and gas, chemical handling, logistics, or industrial plant environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, chemical hazard management, spill response protocols, and contractor HSE management.
  • Strong communication, incident reporting, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
