Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Yoruba language and literature lessons to secondary school students in alignment with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Create a stimulating, inclusive, and culturally enriching classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
  • Integrate modern teaching aids and educational technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and guidance counselors to support overall student welfare and academic development.
  • Participate in school extracurricular activities, cultural events, and parent-teacher conferences.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Arts in Yoruba, Education in Yoruba, or a closely related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Proven experience teaching Yoruba language at the secondary school level is highly preferred.
  • Strong command of both written and spoken Yoruba and English languages.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching, cultural education, and student mentorship.
  • Certification in education (NCE, TRCN, or PGDE) will be an added advantage.
