We are currently seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and culturally proud Yoruba Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in preserving our rich cultural heritage by fostering students' fluency, literacy, and appreciation for the Yoruba language and traditions.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Yoruba language lessons aligned with the approved Nigerian educational curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Create an inclusive, immersive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active student participation in speaking, reading, and writing Yoruba.
- Design and coordinate cultural events, debates, and drama activities to promote practical language use and cultural appreciation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to support overall student development and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
- Possess a minimum of a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Yoruba Language or Linguistics.
- Proven experience teaching Yoruba at the primary or secondary school level within a recognized educational institution.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and fluent Yoruba.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
- Reside within or in close proximity to Ikotun, Pipeline Road, or surrounding areas in Lagos State.
