About the Role
BeaconHealth Diagnostics is revolutionizing diagnostic care in Nigeria by providing accessible, high-quality healthcare through our innovative network of clinics. We are currently seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician to join our dynamic Clinic Operations department at our Umuahia branch, located opposite the Fire Station. Reporting directly to the Center Manager and working closely with the Radiographer, this hands-on role is perfect for early-career professionals looking to build substantial experience in a high-volume diagnostic setting while utilizing our advanced proprietary platform, BeaconOS.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients, explain procedures in plain language, and provide reassurance to ease anxiety.
- Transport and assist patients with limited mobility safely between waiting areas and the X-ray room while protecting their dignity.
- Set up examination rooms, position patients accurately, and apply radiation protection devices.
- Assist during procedures, monitor video displays, and adjust image density or contrast as needed.
- Perform equipment maintenance, ensure proper waste disposal, and maintain strict sanitation standards in the X-ray room.
- Accurately input patient medical histories and imaging data into the BeaconOS digital platform.
- OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related health science.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in a hospital, imaging unit, or diagnostic center.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and willingness to adhere to protection protocols.
- Physical capability to assist with patient transfers and positioning.
- Good computer literacy and readiness to learn our digital clinical platform, BeaconOS.
