About the Role
The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is renowned for providing top-tier medical education and comprehensive healthcare services in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled X-Ray Technician to join our dynamic radiology department in Ile-Ife, Osun State. In this vital role, you will play a crucial part in patient care by producing high-quality diagnostic images to assist medical practitioners in accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities- Operate X-ray and other diagnostic imaging equipment safely and efficiently to produce quality radiographs.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the process and ensuring proper positioning.
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Ensure all imaging equipment is properly sanitized, calibrated, and maintained for optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage digital imaging archives in compliance with hospital standards.
- Candidates must possess a Certificate in X-Ray Technician from a recognized institution.
- Must possess a valid and current practicing license from the relevant regulatory body in Nigeria.
- Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and radiation safety measures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Conditions of service and remuneration packages are attractive and comparable to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and Federal Tertiary Health Institutions in Nigeria.
- Salary is placed at CONHESS 06 Step 01.
