About the Role
Ellasot Consulting is bridging the gap for SMEs, organizations, and individuals by providing essential coaching, mentoring, and support services to maximize business potential. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented WordPress Web Developer to join our growing team. While this is primarily a remote position, candidates must be based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and be available for physical meetings when required.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and update three company WordPress websites with fresh content, text, images, and documents.
- Perform routine WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor website functionality, user experience, and troubleshoot basic errors, bugs, or broken links.
- Ensure seamless responsiveness across all desktop and mobile devices.
- Implement basic security practices, regular website backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Optimize website content and technical elements for speed, performance, and SEO.
- Coordinate with management for time-sensitive updates and provide recommendations for usability improvements.
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or relevant professional training in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining multiple WordPress websites.
- Strong proficiency in the WordPress dashboard, themes, plugins, and media management.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and popular page builders like Elementor.
- Familiarity with website analytics, SEO fundamentals, and basic security measures.
- Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Must be a resident of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and highly responsive to urgent support requests.
