About the Role
Mikano is looking for a dedicated and experienced Welder to join our dynamic production team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for joining metal parts and fabricating structures using advanced handheld welding equipment while ensuring adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols to ensure accurate specifications are met.
- Measure, cut, and source materials required for ongoing projects.
- Set up parts securely using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
- Perform high-quality welding operations, including pipe welding, using appropriate techniques and materials.
- Inspect finished products against blueprint tolerances and quality standards.
- Maintain daily productivity targets and minimize construction errors.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe workspace before the close of each shift.
- Minimum of a Trade Test Certificate in welding or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional work experience as a Welder in a similar industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards.
