About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a leading manufacturer and home to the iconic Golden Penny brand, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder to join our growing operations in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, constructing, installing, and repairing vital industrial equipment according to precise specifications, ensuring our manufacturing processes run seamlessly and maintain optimal productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all job orders and requests are efficiently and accurately carried out.
- Calculate material quantities needed for each job order and submit requisitions to the supervisor.
- Fabricate and weld components according to strict design specifications using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
- Determine appropriate welding equipment and methods, setting up components by cutting, grinding, and aligning materials.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, operational condition while taking full accountability for assigned resources.
- OND, NABTEB, City & Guilds (C&G), or WAEC Technical certificate in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of two (2) years of cognate welding experience, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.
