About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC), we are dedicated to providing quality higher education and preparing graduates for a dynamic global environment. We are currently seeking a proactive, skilled, and dedicated IT Maintenance Officer II to join our ICT Unit and ensure the seamless operation of our technological infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues across university systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on computers, printers, servers, and network peripherals.
- Implement and manage system backups, data security protocols, and basic cybersecurity measures.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and networking tools.
- Provide technical support and assistance to staff, faculty, and students utilizing university IT facilities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all ICT assets and equipment within the department.
- Must possess a good honors degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Informatics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably within a university or tertiary educational institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in hardware repairs, software troubleshooting, and system management.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and data backup strategies.
