About the Role
Mikano International is a premier power solutions provider in Nigeria, renowned for our state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly of diesel and gas generators. Our advanced Steel Fabrication Division utilizes cutting-edge machinery to produce high-quality soundproof canopies and metal structures. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Welder to join our dynamic production team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in our manufacturing process, ensuring all metal components are precisely fabricated, measured, and welded to meet our rigorous engineering standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and weld symbols to ensure accurate specifications are followed.
- Measure, cut, and source materials required for each specific fabrication project.
- Operate handheld welding equipment to join metal pieces and weld pipes securely.
- Set up parts using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures to maintain structural integrity.
- Inspect finished work against blueprint tolerances to minimize construction errors.
- Maintain a clean, organized work section at the end of each shift and meet daily productivity targets.
- Minimum of a Trade Test Certificate in welding or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of proven work experience as a Welder within a manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong ability to read and comprehend complex blueprints, technical diagrams, and welding specifications.
- Proficiency in pipe welding and utilizing various handheld welding tools and modern machinery.
