About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a prominent leader in the Nigerian manufacturing and FMCG industry renowned for its iconic Golden Penny brand, is seeking a diligent and integrity-driven Weighbridge Assistant to join our dynamic operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding the company against stock loss by validating the accuracy of all inbound and outbound materials using our advanced computerized weighbridge systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate computerized weighbridges efficiently to weigh and record all trucks delivering and removing materials from the company premises.
- Control the smooth flow of vehicles, ensuring proper documentation such as invoices, waybills, and weighbridge tickets are verified and correctly recorded prior to factory exit.
- Monitor the weighbridge equipment regularly, promptly reporting any malfunctions and following up to ensure rapid resolution and repairs.
- Enforce strict driver compliance with safety and operational rules governing the weighbridge facility, redirecting or refusing entry when necessary.
- Maintain impeccable housekeeping standards within the weighbridge facility and its immediate surroundings.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily weighbridge reports to the Weighbridge Manager and promptly investigate and resolve observed weight differentials.
- Support internal and external clients during scheduled weighbridge calibration exercises.
- Ensure organized filing and digital archiving of all weighbridge-related documents for quick and easy information retrieval.
- Minimum of 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
- NABTEB or City & Guilds (C&G) Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
