About the Role
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Information Management (IM) Officer – Consortium to join our humanitarian team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will maintain and update beneficiary databases, support mobile data collection workflows, and ensure robust data quality assurance across multiple consortium partners and programme activities to assist conflict-affected populations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update ActivityInfo beneficiary databases and support beneficiary registration, data entry, synchronization, and consolidation across consortium partners.
- Support the configuration, testing, maintenance, and routine updating of ActivityInfo forms, databases, calculated fields, and offline data collection workflows.
- Conduct routine data quality assurance, identify inconsistencies, and follow up on issues recorded in the ActivityInfo Cleaning Log with partner MEAL focal points.
- Support beneficiary deduplication processes, run approved duplicate checks, and maintain deduplication logs in coordination with the IM Specialist.
- Support MPCA beneficiary and distribution reconciliation by preparing ActivityInfo extracts and matching registration records.
- Prepare and maintain beneficiary lists, routine protection referral lists, dashboards, data extracts, and summary statistics for donor reporting and management review.
- Provide first-line technical support and practical training to consortium partners and programme staff on ActivityInfo and approved data collection tools.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date IM documentation, records, data dictionaries, and SOPs while ensuring strict data confidentiality.
- University degree in Computer Science, Programming, Information Management, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in information management, database design, or database administration within national or international NGOs/UN agencies.
- Strong technical proficiency in data analysis and management software such as ActivityInfo, Excel, SQL, R, Access, PowerBI, Kobo, ODK, SurveyCTO, or CommCare.
- Demonstrated experience in training, capacity-building, and developing tools or SOPs for diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Full professional proficiency in English; local languages spoken in Northern Nigeria are a strong advantage.
