About the Role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Officer to join our team in Yola, Adamawa State. In this vital role, you will oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, and asset tracking, ensuring that all relief supplies and organizational assets are securely stored, meticulously recorded, and efficiently distributed to support our humanitarian mission.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring strict compliance with Global Supply Chain SOPs for inventory and asset management.
- Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of goods, implementing FIFO, FEFO, and LIFO procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, fiscal year-end stock inventories, and quarterly physical asset checks.
- Maintain up-to-date asset registers, inventory lists, and accurate documentation for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager on asset transfers, donations, auctions, and audit corrective action plans.
- Ensure warehouse safety, physical security, proper facility maintenance, and pest control measures.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly inventory, expendable store, and A6 asset reports on time.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in supply chain, warehouse, or asset management, preferably within an NGO setting.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong computer literacy, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain meticulous records.
- Strong mathematical skills and physical capability to lift items up to 30kg without strain.
