About the Role
GIZ Nigeria is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence across our production and logistics processes, contributing to sustainable development initiatives in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect each pallet before loading for dents, loose straps, loose stretch wrapping, damaged pallets, and missing tickets to ensure defective items are not loaded.
- Seal trucks after product loading, accurately document seal numbers in the waybill, and communicate details promptly to the QA Manager.
- Verify that every departing truck possesses a valid certificate of conformance before leaving the plant.
- Inspect can lids prior to truck loading to ensure protective coverings remain undamaged.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily reports detailing quality inspection activities to the QA manager.
- Participate actively in the implementation and maintenance of GZI quality, environment, health and safety, and food safety management systems.
- Conduct routine attribute defect inspections across all production lines and perform all required visual inspections accurately.
- Education: Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Food Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in a similar quality assurance role within the manufacturing industry.
