About the Role
The Digital Rights and Mental Health Initiative (DRMHI) is seeking a passionate and driven Volunteer State Coordinator to champion our mission across Nigeria. Founded by Kauna Malgwi, DRMHI focuses on the critical intersection of digital labor, technology-driven harms, and psychological well-being. In this vital role, you will spearhead state-level operations, foster community engagement, and empower volunteers to create lasting social impact.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support DRMHI activities and program implementations within the assigned state.
- Manage local volunteers, foster effective team collaboration, and facilitate seamless communication between departments and field teams.
- Engage with key community stakeholders, identify strategic partnerships, and represent DRMHI professionally.
- Monitor ongoing activities, prepare detailed coordination reports, and submit bi-monthly work plans.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, escalating operational, safeguarding, and security concerns promptly.
- Minimum of a BSc or HND from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills with a proactive and dependable work ethic.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess a working personal laptop, reliable internet access, and the ability to commit at least 10 hours per week.
- Willingness to engage in physical reporting once a week if applicable and respond to official communications within one hour during availability periods.
- Keen interest in digital rights, mental health, humanitarian work, and community development.
- Gain valuable hands-on experience and professional development in the fields of digital rights and mental health advocacy.
