About the Role
Insolitus Nigeria Ltd, a premier Organisational and Talent Development consultancy based in Lagos, is recruiting passionate Vocational Trainers for a prestigious Catholic residential school for young women. We are looking for skilled trade professionals to deliver hands-on training aligned with National Skills Qualification (NSQ) and NBTE standards, guiding students from a foundational taster phase through to government-recognised trade certification. This unique opportunity combines technical instruction with character development within a supportive residential environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver structured, hands-on training in your assigned trade adhering to national NSQ and NBTE standards.
- Develop and execute a practical training plan covering foundation skills during the initial taster phase through to intensive certification readiness.
- Assess students continuously and build comprehensive assessment evidence portfolios required for official NSQ certification.
- Manage workshop tools, materials, and safety protocols while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Instil strong professional work habits including punctuality, high-quality finishing, and a strong customer mindset.
- Work collaboratively within the school's established Catholic ethos and daily residential routine.
- Recognised trade qualification with a minimum of 3 years of proven practical experience; a portfolio and practical demonstration will be required at the interview.
- Possession of NSQ Level 3 certification in the trade, or demonstrable competence with a willingness to obtain it through school-supported Recognition of Prior Learning.
- Prior experience in training apprentices, vocational students, or youth is strongly preferred.
