About the Role
252 Lighthouse Children's Centre is an emerging child development and recreation hub located in Lokogoma, Abuja. We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Children's Book Club, Storytelling and Creative Activities Facilitator to deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions that foster a love for reading and arts.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and facilitate interactive book clubs, storytelling sessions, and creative workshops for various age groups.
- Lead read-alouds, literacy games, arts and crafts, painting, and educational play activities.
- Select suitable books and learning materials tailored to children's developmental stages.
- Promote imagination, vocabulary growth, confidence, and teamwork among children.
- Develop themed reading challenges, holiday programmes, and creative projects.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment while maintaining strict child safeguarding standards.
- Organize activity spaces, manage equipment safely, and provide session feedback.
- Background in Education, English, Early Childhood Development, Literature, Creative Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching, facilitating, or engaging children in schools, camps, or reading clubs.
- Exceptional spoken English, communication, presentation, and group-management skills.
- High creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and strong alignment with child protection policies.
- Ability to provide credible references and pass background verification checks.
