You will play a crucial role in transforming news stories, events, and occurrences into engaging video content that informs and inspires our audience. Working alongside seasoned journalists and media professionals, you will help us deliver accurate, unbiased reporting that contributes to human development and societal awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Edit and produce high-quality video content for digital news platforms
- Collaborate with journalists and reporters to develop compelling visual narratives
- Manage video post-production workflows including color correction, sound design, and effects
- Ensure all video content meets editorial standards and brand guidelines
- Optimize videos for multiple platforms and audience engagement
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional editorial quality
- Stay current with video production trends and industry best practices
- Minimum 6-7 years of professional video editing experience with a media company
- Advanced proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of journalism, news production, and digital media
- Excellent attention to detail and storytelling ability
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Proximity to Ikeja is advantageous
