About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agri-business with a global origination footprint, processing capabilities, and a deep understanding of market needs built over 33 years. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President & Profit Centre Head to join our operations in Nigeria. In this executive leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the overall profitability, strategic growth, and operational efficiency of the business unit while navigating dynamic market landscapes across grains, oilseeds, rice, and related commodities.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute the strategic vision and business plan for the profit centre to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
- Oversee end-to-end operations including origination, processing, supply chain, risk management, and commercial execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, regulatory bodies, industry partners, and major clients.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of professionals to foster a high-performance culture.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic indicators to identify new business opportunities and mitigate operational risks.
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance, compliance standards, and sustainability practices across all operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
- Extensive executive-level experience in agribusiness, supply chain management, commodity trading, or general management within the Nigerian or broader African market.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a profit centre, driving revenue growth, and turning around or scaling complex business operations.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills with the ability to influence at the highest levels.
- Deep understanding of the agricultural sector, macroeconomic trends, and regulatory frameworks in Nigeria.
