About the Role
Proten International is a leading human capital development and business advisory firm with global reach, empowering organizations to scale and thrive. We are currently seeking an analytical, commercially minded, and execution-oriented Venture Builder / Chairman’s Specialist to work directly with our Executive Chairman in Lagos, Nigeria. In this high-impact role, you will take new business opportunities from initial concept through market research, financial modeling, pilot development, and successful launch across diverse sectors including managed workspaces, manufacturing supply chains, and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate new business and investment opportunities, developing comprehensive cases covering market demand, unit economics, and expected returns.
- Build detailed financial models for cash flow, working capital, ROIC, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Design and execute low-cost experiments and pilots to validate key business assumptions and commercial viability.
- Take ownership of high-priority strategic projects, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
- Identify strategic partners, suppliers, and investors, supporting commercial negotiations and due diligence processes.
- Prepare concise, evidence-based decision memos and strategic recommendations for Chairman-level review.
- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in venture building, management consulting, private equity, investment banking, corporate strategy, or startup operations.
- Demonstrated ability to transform ambiguous business problems into structured, actionable execution plans.
- Proven expertise in developing financial models and rigorous commercial business cases.
- Strong undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a distinct advantage.
