About the Role
Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Procurement to lead our procurement operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this executive role, you will shape our sourcing strategies, optimize supply chain efficiency, and drive cost leadership across our fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives and reduce operational costs.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of procurement professionals to achieve excellence in execution.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement of goods, services, and works in full compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key local and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality materials.
- Negotiate, administer, and manage complex commercial contracts while mitigating supply chain risks.
- Implement advanced procurement systems, processes, and data analytics to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, ISM, or APICS are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership capacity within FMCG or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated expertise in international procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
