About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited, Nigeria's premier payments and financial technology company founded in 1997, is seeking an experienced UP Exchange Operations Officer. In this role, you will provide advanced technical and operational support for our payment platforms, ensuring high availability, robust security, and efficient transaction processing for financial institutions and clients across Nigeria and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical integration and onboarding for clients and financial institutions onto UP Exchange platforms, ensuring a seamless transition to production.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot REST APIs, JSON integrations, and payment gateways using tools like Postman.
- Utilize SQL and PostgreSQL to analyze transaction data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve pending, failed, or reversed payments.
- Troubleshoot Linux-based applications, Docker containers, and Nginx infrastructure using log analysis and networking diagnostics.
- Take ownership of complex technical incidents, coordinate rapid resolution within SLAs, and conduct thorough root-cause analyses.
- Perform UAT, integration, and regression testing for new services, supporting production deployments and post-deployment verifications.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders while mentoring junior operations analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in technical support, payment technology, digital banking, or application support.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux environments, SSH, and log analysis tools.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Nginx, and modern application deployment pipelines.
- Deep understanding of payment transaction flows, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and API authentication mechanisms.
