About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of outsourcing, technical staffing, and consultancy services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a skilled Data Management Support professional to join our dynamic technical team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining, updating, and optimizing geophysics databases, ensuring seamless data integration and efficient technical operations for our esteemed clients.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure continuous updating of Geophysics databases using proprietary, internally sourced, local, and international data, including competitor data.
- Manage daily disk space allocation, monitor project storage requirements, and prepare forward-looking capacity plans for management.
- Develop and produce computer-based Geophysics documents, including interpretation listings, charts, and plots for geoscientists and management.
- Provide manuals, expert advice, and training on SISMAGE applications to promote efficient self-use systems among geophysicists and technicians.
- Test, evaluate, and suggest modifications to existing software while liaising with vendors for new software applications.
- Prepare formats, procedures, and data for electronic data exchanges and commercial transactions with competitors and partners.
- Coordinate with the IT department to manage GSR disk space, LINUX machines, and the MAJIX and XRAI NICE DCV environment.
- Support the Mywell Project by loading and updating affiliate well data through HQ DATAGATE.
- MSc or BSc degree in Engineering, Science, Geophysics, or a related discipline.
- Several years of proven professional experience in geophysics and geoscience data management.
- Demonstrated experience in seismic data acquisition and proficiency with the SIS MAGE application.
- Strong working knowledge of LINUX, MAJIX, and XRAI environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, alongside robust database management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and departments.
