About the Role
International Breweries Plc, a renowned leader in the Nigerian beverage manufacturing sector, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Unit Manager to join our operations team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the Line Business Manager, taking full accountability for packaging shift operations, production efficiency, and overall line performance across safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the health, safety, and PPE compliance of all line employees, enforcing machine safe practices including PTW, LOTO, and SAM.
- Maintain high standards for packaged products delivered to the warehouse and ensure strict adherence to quality processes.
- Drive the Line Vision, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and strategic execution plans to achieve operational targets.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, execute GOPs, and deploy effective problem-solving methodologies such as 5W, PDCAs, and Abnormality Reports.
- Manage maintenance backlogs, validate priorities with the reliability team, and review work order execution quality.
- Oversee training gap analyses, facilitate core team training, and foster high employee engagement by eliminating mundane tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of factory production experience at a management level within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in people management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
