About the Role
Orfema Pharmaceutical Industry Limited is a leading name in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector in Nigeria, specializing in the importation and marketing of premium pharmaceutical raw materials and finished medicines. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Coding Machine Operator to join our dynamic production and packaging team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our medical products are accurately labeled and coded in compliance with industry standards, helping us maintain our reputation for safety, quality, and excellence across Nigeria and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Install and secure code letters, symbols, digital printing plates, or cartridges into the machine mandrel using precision tools such as tweezers.
- Adjust machine settings including pressure, temperature, alignment, and speed based on specific production materials such as plastic, wire, tape, glass, or cardboard.
- Operate industrial coding machines efficiently to print clear identification codes on various packaging and manufacturing materials.
- Regulate the pressure of stamping dies and heating devices on the mandrel by accurately moving control mechanisms.
- Start and monitor the machine, carefully inserting the end of the material between feed rollers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation.
- Coil, tie, and stack printed materials neatly on racks, conducting basic quality checks on the printed codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in adherence to standard pharmaceutical manufacturing and safety guidelines.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of an SSCE, GCE, NECO, or OND qualification from a recognized institution.
- Prior relevant experience working as a coding machine operator, machine tender, or in a similar manufacturing or packaging environment is highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle delicate components and execute precise machine adjustments.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts and operating industrial machinery.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical packaging standards is a strong plus.
