About the Role
Malteser International is a renowned international non-governmental organization dedicated to providing swift and efficient humanitarian aid worldwide. We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Supply Chain Officer - Travel and Fleet to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee comprehensive travel management, daily fleet operations, and driver coordination to ensure the smooth and safe execution of our humanitarian missions.
Key ResponsibilitiesTravel Management:
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, flight bookings, changes, and cancellations for staff and visitors.
- Manage visa processing and STR for expatriates in compliance with organizational procedures.
- Maintain an updated travel tracker and monitor travel costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate accommodation and airport transfers while ensuring adherence to travel security guidelines.
Fleet Management:
- Coordinate daily management, utilization, and movement plans for organizational and hired vehicles.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, servicing schedules, and roadworthiness checks.
- Monitor fuel consumption, running costs, and maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and databases.
Driver Management:
- Coordinate driver assignments, daily schedules, and attendance in Maiduguri and MJK.
- Ensure strict compliance with organizational driving and safety procedures.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in travel coordination, fleet management, and logistics.
- Demonstrated previous experience working with an NGO, INGO, UN agency, or donor-funded organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle emergency and last-minute travel arrangements.
- Excellent communication and vendor management abilities.
