About the Role

Sayed Farms Limited is seeking an experienced and responsible Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team in Lekki, Lagos. Established in 2004, we are a leading player in the Nigerian poultry and frozen food distribution sector, committed to delivering quality products efficiently across the country. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of company goods while maintaining high standards of road safety and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company trucks for the transportation and delivery of goods and materials to various destinations.
  • Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical defects promptly.
  • Ensure the safe handling, stacking, and proper documentation of goods during loading, transportation, and offloading.
  • Adhere strictly to assigned delivery routes, schedules, and national traffic regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date trip, delivery, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Ensure the interior and exterior cleanliness and optimal working condition of the assigned truck at all times.
  • Report any accidents, vehicle breakdowns, delays, or unexpected road incidents immediately to the supervisor.
  • Comply fully with all company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable professional experience as a truck or heavy-duty vehicle driver.
  • Possession of a valid Nigerian driver’s licence appropriate for commercial vehicle categories.
  • Valid LASDRI certification or permit will be a distinct added advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Lagos road networks and surrounding routes, particularly the Lekki corridor and environs.
  • Proven track record of safe driving habits and responsible commercial vehicle handling.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet demanding delivery schedules and operational needs.
  • Strong communication skills, exceptional reliability, and high personal discipline.
  • Prior experience in logistics, FMCG, agriculture, or cold-chain distribution industries is highly advantageous.
