About the Role
PRIMEPATH Nigeria Limited is looking for a dedicated and skilled Translator to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary communication bridge between our Chinese-speaking management and local Nigerian employees, ensuring seamless daily operations, adherence to workplace safety, and successful cross-border business execution.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately translate technical manuals, legal contracts, business correspondence, and marketing materials while preserving the original meaning.
- Review translations to ensure grammatical accuracy, correct syntax, and consistent terminology across all company documents.
- Convert Chinese dialect audio or video files into accurate, readable English text, and vice versa.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive bilingual glossaries for engineering, law, and other specialized technical fields.
- Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpreting during on-site meetings, negotiations, and corporate seminars.
- Bridge cultural gaps by explaining idioms, social contexts, and business etiquette to foster strong partnerships.
- Male candidate, fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese with a minimum of HSK Level 4 certification.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to drive confidently in Lagos.
- Proven ability to communicate fluently and effectively with native Chinese speakers in professional and daily settings.
- Prior study abroad experience in China, factory management background, or previous work experience with Chinese companies is a strong advantage.
