About the Role

Resource Intermediaries Limited (RIL) is recruiting a dynamic and analytical Transaction Monitoring Officer to join our client's esteemed financial institution in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding the bank against financial crimes by ensuring rigorous compliance and vigilant oversight of customer activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor customer transactions through the Bank's Transaction Monitoring System to identify unusual or potentially suspicious activities.
  • Review, analyze, and investigate alerts generated by monitoring platforms in a timely and risk-based manner.
  • Escalate high-risk, complex, or unusual cases to the Team Lead for further review and guidance.
  • Conduct thorough investigations using customer information, account records, transaction histories, and KYC documentation.
  • Identify potential indicators of money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations.
  • Prepare and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) through the NFIU goAML platform within prescribed regulatory timelines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of STRs, investigations, and related information in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an ND, HND, or BSc Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Maximum age of 30 years old.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) frameworks.
