About the Role
Victory Empowerment Centre is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Training Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in educating members on our group lending methodology, which relies on self-selected groups and essential social and economic indicators. You will design, implement, and monitor training programs that empower communities, foster sustainable financial growth, and ensure members have seamless access to our supportive financial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on group lending methodologies and financial literacy for members.
- Facilitate self-selection group formation workshops, guiding participants on basic social and economic indicators.
- Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve curriculum content to meet the evolving needs of our growing community.
- Collaborate with field officers and community leaders to identify training needs and ensure high participation rates.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and overall progress metrics.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to groups to ensure long-term sustainability and easy access to program benefits.
- Possession of an HND or Bachelor Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in training, community development, or microfinance.
- Strong understanding of group lending methodologies and socio-economic indicators.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people in various communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and report writing.
