About the Role
DP World is a leading global supply chain solutions provider dedicated to making trade flow better across the globe. We are currently looking for two experienced Driver Trainers to join our dynamic team in Ogun State, Nigeria. In this role, you will lead training initiatives for delivery officers, manage training sessions for both new and experienced drivers, and contribute significantly to the long-term advancement of our Transport Operations function.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct instructional training sessions for articulated truck drivers on safe and efficient driving techniques, maneuvering, and large vehicle handling.
- Design and develop a comprehensive training curriculum covering safety protocols, vehicle controls, traffic regulations, and load handling.
- Instruct newly recruited drivers on vehicle controls, inspection protocols, and company policies through on-board and shadow monitoring.
- Deliver periodic refresher courses for experienced drivers to reinforce safe driving practices and update them on regulatory changes.
- Assess driver performance through practical tests and evaluations to identify skill gaps and create targeted training plans.
- Collaborate with the HSE unit to enforce health, safety, and security policies and participate in incident and accident investigations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of training activities, driver progress, and assessment outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience training articulated truck drivers in transport, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.
- Relevant certification in training and development or instructional design is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of defensive driving techniques, safety regulations, and emergency response procedures.
