About the Role
The Delta State Traffic Management Authority (DESTMA) is a government agency established to manage traffic operations and ensure public safety on roads throughout Delta State, Nigeria. We are recruiting qualified Traffic Assistants to join our dynamic team in maintaining road order and promoting safe driving practices across the state.
QualificationsEducational Requirements:
- First School Leaving Certificate
- Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB) with minimum 4 credits at one sitting or 5 credits at not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics
Eligible Trades/Crafts:
- Light Duty Vehicle Driver/Mechanic
- Heavy Duty Vehicle/Truck Driver/Mechanic
- Plumber
- Electrician
- Uniform Tailor (Paramilitary)
- Day & Night Security Guard
- Other relevant trades or crafts
General Requirements:
- Be of Delta State origin with valid Local Government Area of origin documentation
- Age between 16 and 40 years
- Good moral character with no criminal record or cult affiliations
- Medically and physically fit with certified medical report
- Completed NYSC service or valid exemption certificate (for graduate positions)
- Computer literacy (for graduate positions)
- Female applicants who are pregnant must provide pregnancy test certificate from a Government Hospital
