About the Role
Alan & Grant is a leading Human Resources and Business Advisory firm dedicated to co-creating relevant and impactful solutions for our clients. We are currently seeking a proactive and self-driven Trade Marketing Executive to spearhead our trade development and revenue generation initiatives across key channels and regions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maximizing brand visibility, optimizing retail presence, and driving commercial success within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute channel-specific trade marketing plans and campaigns to increase product visibility, off-take, and revenue growth.
- Implement strategic sales initiatives, monitor channel performance, and consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales and trade targets.
- Build and manage sustainable relationships with key trade partners, distributors, retailers, and channel stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, trade data, and customer feedback to uncover new revenue opportunities and refine marketing strategies.
- Utilize CRM software and sales reporting automation tools to track performance metrics, generate regular reports, and manage lead pipelines.
- Oversee trade activations, point-of-sale displays, and local field campaigns to optimize brand positioning within retail and wholesale points.
- Conduct frequent field visits and travel across assigned territories to drive sales operations and monitor trade execution.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or higher qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analysis, or a related field.
- Demonstrated training or certifications in professional sales or trade management.
- A minimum of 6 years of direct experience in FMCG trade marketing and sales operations.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets in the FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, sales automation tools, and reporting software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong strategic planning, market data interpretation, and analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter attitude with high initiative and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Full availability and willingness to travel frequently within assigned territories and nationally as needed.
