About the Role
Alpha Integrated Energy Services Limited is a leading 100% indigenous oil and gas service provider with extensive infrastructure across Nigerian deep, shallow water, swamp, and land operations. We are currently seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Tools Workshop Engineer to manage our wellbore cleaning tools inventory, maintenance, and workshop operations. In this critical role, you will ensure all downhole intervention equipment meets the highest standards of safety and operational readiness to support our growing land and offshore rig operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complete disassembly, cleaning, comprehensive inspection, and redressing of wellbore cleanup tools including scrapers, brushes, debris baskets, and circulating subs after every field run.
- Conduct rigorous quality control procedures such as drift testing, precise dimensional measurements, and pressure testing on all tool assemblies to confirm structural integrity.
- Prepare, inspect, and stage equipment, accessories, and necessary consumables for safe and timely loadout to various land or offshore rig locations.
- Manage workshop inventory by tracking spare parts, monitoring tool usage lifecycles, and maintaining accurate digital and physical records.
- Provide reliable technical support to operations teams regarding optimal tool configurations, make-up torque specifications, and on-site troubleshooting.
- Strictly adhere to and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, ensuring proper lifting techniques, safe pressure testing, and compliant hazardous material handling.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with oilfield downhole tools, specifically wellbore cleanup or intervention equipment, is a distinct advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of downhole mechanics, mechanical assembly drawings, specialized thread connections, and workshop testing equipment.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with yard and offshore personnel.
