About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a talented and proactive Server Administrator to join our dynamic IT team at our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing our extensive server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and robust data protection across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual server hardware and software environments.
- Monitor daily server performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and ensure regular system updates, patches, and security fixes.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and access permissions efficiently using Active Directory.
- Implement, monitor, and regularly test comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions to guarantee business continuity.
- Enforce strict security policies and industry best practices to safeguard sensitive corporate data against emerging threats.
- Maintain detailed, up-to-date documentation of server configurations, network topology, and standard operating procedures.
- Generate regular reports detailing server uptime, system performance metrics, and security incident logs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional experience in server administration within a corporate environment.
- Proven proficiency in Windows Server management, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals or equivalent professional certifications will be strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing server security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery frameworks.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
