About the Role
GIG Logistics, a leading courier and logistics services company in Nigeria, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Terminal Operations Manager to join our growing team in the South South region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily terminal operations, optimizing fleet utilization, leading high-performing teams, and driving exceptional customer experiences across our service centers.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the assigned terminal within the region, ensuring strict compliance with company standards and operating procedures.
- Lead, supervise, and support terminal staff to achieve operational excellence, productivity targets, and overarching business objectives.
- Ensure efficient fleet utilization, monitor timely vehicle departures and arrivals, and coordinate closely with the Fleet and Maintenance teams.
- Drive an exceptional customer experience by maintaining high service quality, resolving escalated issues, and implementing service improvements.
- Monitor operational performance, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular reports with actionable insights.
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, transport laws, company policies, and operational risk management standards.
- Manage regional operational budgets and resources effectively to optimize costs and improve overall profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including HR, Finance, Tech, and Customer Experience to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct regular terminal audits, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in terminal operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within the courier industry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large teams across multiple locations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tracking operational KPIs and managing budgets.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
