Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all daily terminal operations and lead a high-performing workforce to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure timely cargo movement, optimal vessel turnaround times, and maximum equipment utilization.
  • Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards as well as local and international regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and prepare comprehensive management reports.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams, shipping lines, key customers, and relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Manage terminal resources effectively to minimize downtime and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in shipping, logistics, and container terminal management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in terminal operations, heavy equipment management, and supply chain optimization.
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and operational management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian maritime regulations, safety standards, and port operations.
