About the Role
Mikano, a leading industrial and engineering conglomerate in Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Tendering & Design Electrical Engineer. In this vital role, you will oversee the design, development, and technical execution of major power and infrastructure projects. You will ensure that all deliverables align with rigorous technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and budgetary requirements while delivering sustainable, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, design, develop, and maintain sustainable electrical engineering projects and power infrastructure.
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies, preparing detailed electrical designs and blueprints in line with project specifications.
- Assess project risks, material requirements, labor needs, and comprehensive cost estimates for competitive tendering.
- Provide technical guidance and develop practical, innovative solutions to emerging project and site challenges.
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate project staff while seamlessly liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, track critical milestones, and prepare regular, detailed status reports for management.
- Prepare and maintain technical files, project records, single-line diagrams, schematics, and required documentation.
- Manage project budgets, oversee equipment and material procurement, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional experience in electrical engineering design, tendering, or infrastructure project management within Nigeria.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering design principles, construction methods, and project management best practices.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD, electrical simulation tools, and project management applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, budgeting, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
