About the Role
ipNX Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of infrastructure-based telecommunications and information technology services in Nigeria, delivering robust IP-based communications to corporate, SME, and residential markets. We are currently expanding our network infrastructure and seeking a dedicated Telecom Rigger to join our dynamic field operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Climb telecommunications towers, monopoles, and rooftops to install, maintain, and decommission equipment safely.
- Install antennas, remote radio units, microwave dishes, mounts, brackets, and feeder cables according to project specifications.
- Execute complex rigging operations, including lifting, positioning, and securing heavy equipment using specialized hoists and gear.
- Conduct thorough tower inspections to identify structural defects, maintenance needs, or potential safety hazards.
- Perform timely repairs and replacements of faulty equipment, mounts, and cabling infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with rigorous industry standards for grounding, weatherproofing, and professional cable management.
- Adhere strictly to approved rigging plans, lift plans, and company safety protocols at all times.
- Complete accurate site documentation, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and safety checklists.
- Inspect, maintain, and properly store all personal protective equipment, hand tools, and rigging gear.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification, with relevant technical certifications being an added advantage.
- Proven hands-on experience in telecommunications tower rigging or a closely related industrial field.
- Demonstrated ability and physical fitness to work comfortably at great heights and in diverse outdoor weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
