In this vital role within our Laboratory Technical Services, you will play a crucial part in supporting our academic programs, ensuring high standards of safety, and facilitating practical scientific discovery for the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, and practical laboratory activities.
- Operate, maintain, and manage complex laboratory equipment while adhering to strict quality assurance protocols.
- Enforce and maintain comprehensive laboratory safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for daily practical sessions and examinations.
- Collaborate with academic and technical staff to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize laboratory workflows.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the appropriate University authority.
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's degree, HND, or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant laboratory discipline.
- Hold appropriate professional registration or license where applicable.
- Demonstrate relevant post-qualification experience commensurate with the cadre.
- Proven knowledge of modern laboratory equipment handling, inventory management, and quality control.
- Possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates with prior experience in universities, teaching hospitals, research institutes, or recognized medical laboratories will have an added advantage.
