About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University, a prestigious public institution established in 1962 in Ile-Ife, Osun State, is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join our academic support team as a Technologist II. In this role, you will play a crucial part in facilitating practical learning, laboratory operations, and innovative research, contributing to our rich tradition of academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment and technical facilities.
- Support academic staff and students during practical training, experiments, and research projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain accurate inventory records of laboratory materials.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on technical instruments and apparatus.
- Collaborate with department units to enhance teaching and research infrastructure.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related discipline.
- Must possess five O'Level credit passes at not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, and relevant Science subjects.
