About the Role

Nile University of Nigeria is seeking a skilled and dependable Technologist in Estate Management to join its growing academic team in Abuja. This role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of teaching and research laboratories, supporting both students and faculty through hands-on technical assistance and equipment management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing laboratory materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, while providing valuable support for academic and research activities within the Estate Management discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-class setup of apparatus, reagents, and materials for practical sessions.
  • Assist in routine laboratory operations, including maintenance and general upkeep of equipment.
  • Provide operational support during undergraduate practical classes.
  • Offer guidance on procurement of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to equipment, test results, and workflow inconsistencies.
  • Conduct quality control checks, maintain accurate records, and document corrective actions taken.
  • Support the daily operations and maintenance of laboratories and teaching facilities.
  • Prepare documentation for safety audits and maintain updated safety records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related communication with students and staff.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Estate Management or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a relevant technical or laboratory role.
  • Certified membership of a recognized professional body with a valid practicing license.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and virtual collaboration tools such as MS Teams.
