About the Role

Pacific International Drilling S.A. is a rapidly growing global offshore drilling company operating some of the world's most technologically advanced ultra-deepwater drillships. We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Technical Superintendent to join our team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will provide leadership in maintaining our high-specification fleet, ensuring peak operational efficiency, strict adherence to safety standards, and flawless execution of maintenance protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise maintenance personnel and support organizations to ensure optimal performance of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Manage computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), with a strong preference for SAP, to track, plan, and execute maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all machinery and systems comply with relevant API Standards and Recommended Practices.
  • Implement and lead root cause analysis programs (such as Taproot, 5 Why, Cause Mapping, or Fishbone) to investigate equipment failures and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to maintain a zero-incident safety culture and uphold the highest standards of integrity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience.
  • Must hold a Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), WAEC, or GCE O'Level, alongside a recognized OND, HND, or B.Sc. degree.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), with SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • At least 8+ years of progressive experience and responsibility managing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Minimum of 10+ years in a supervisory position directing maintenance personnel within the offshore or maritime industry.
  • Thorough working knowledge of API Standards and Recommended Practices.
  • Proven ability to execute structured root cause analysis protocols.
  • Must be a Nigerian resident currently residing in Nigeria with fluent English communication skills, both oral and written.
