About the Role
Pacific International Drilling S.A. is a growing global offshore drilling company operating some of the most technologically advanced ultra-deepwater drillships in the industry. We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated Technical Section Leader to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high-specification fleet, ensuring seamless offshore drilling operations, and upholding our unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimal operation of all vessel technical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
- Manage electronic automation, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to guarantee maximum uptime.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime standards, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with onboard engineering teams and shore-based management to plan and execute maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues promptly and efficiently to prevent operational disruptions.
- Valid USCG Chief Engineer License, Unlimited Horsepower.
- Minimum of 8 years of deep-water experience working on Semisubsensibles or Drillships.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance, marine operations, and a solid background in electronic automation.
- Strong expertise in hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE/WAEC/GCE O'Level) alongside an OND, HND, or B.Sc. degree.
- Must be a Nigerian resident currently residing in Nigeria with fluent oral and written English communication skills.
