About the Role

LOPTERRA is looking for a dynamic Technical Sales Manager with established industry connections to lead our growth initiatives in the Nigerian renewable energy space. In this role, you will focus on solar projects, mini-grids, and commercial and industrial solar solutions, leveraging your technical expertise to build strong stakeholder relationships and close strategic business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and financing of solar mini-grid projects, encompassing feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, and project structuring.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, financiers, local communities, EPC partners, and equipment suppliers.
  • Lead proposal development such as RFP responses, concept notes, and business cases for sustainable energy projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical team to assess project viability, cost estimates, and system requirements.
  • Develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies for innovative solar products, services, and technologies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory frameworks to inform strategic company direction.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and expand our professional network.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and financial projections for management and investors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4 to 6 years of professional experience in business development, project management, or commercial operations within the solar energy or power sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in mini-grid project development, site identification, design coordination, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems and the Nigerian renewable energy regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, and financial modeling skills.
