About the Role
Mota-Engil, a globally competitive and innovative group operating in over 200 companies, is seeking a dedicated Team Leader for the prestigious Kano–Maradi Railway Project in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will play an instrumental part in driving the success of major public infrastructure development by ensuring operational excellence on site.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate construction teams and supervise work execution, monitoring site activities in accordance with project plans and management instructions.
- Allocate human resources, materials, tools, and equipment efficiently across various civil construction activities.
- Provide operational support for the safe handling, movement, and transportation of heavy construction equipment and materials.
- Monitor work progress closely, identify deviations promptly, and implement corrective measures to meet cost and schedule targets.
- Record and report site activities, daily progress, incidents, delays, and resource usage accurately.
- Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, technical drawings, and quality-control requirements.
- Maintain high standards of occupational health, safety, and environmental awareness across all work areas.
- Minimum of a 12th-grade education or equivalent academic background.
- At least 5 years of professional experience within the civil construction sector, specifically in public infrastructure production departments.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in civil construction methodologies and site supervision.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Professional proficiency in English with strong interpersonal and team coordination abilities.
