About the Role
Saro AgroSciences Limited, a leading marketer of crop protection products in Nigeria and Ghana, is seeking a driven and analytical Team Lead, Production to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in empowering farmers by ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective execution of our production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute daily and weekly production schedules to successfully meet organizational volume and delivery targets.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall yield.
- Oversee chemical formulation processes, ensuring strict adherence to required standards for concentration, purity, and physical properties.
- Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance, including the proper use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including filling systems, capping machines, packaging lines, and chemical reactors.
- Supervise, train, and support production operators and junior plant staff to foster a high-performance work culture.
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a similar production or manufacturing role.
- Age requirement between 27 and 32 years.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and production data management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Prior knowledge of chemical manufacturing or formulation processes is a distinct advantage.
