About the Role
FairMoney is a leading digital financial platform in Nigeria, empowering millions with instant loans and financial services through our Android application. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Team Lead - Field Recovery to join our growing operations in Lagos, Anambra, and Owerri. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead procedures designed to reduce credit risk, effectively managing early and deep bucket collections while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the daily activities of Collections Leads to ensure strong execution, operational accountability, and high performance.
- Coach, support, and monitor collections team members to maximize efficiency and achieve recovery targets.
- Review delinquent loan portfolios to identify default drivers, recovery gaps, and emerging credit trends.
- Recommend and track corrective actions to improve collections outcomes and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Improve and optimize collections processes, driving regional drive allocations and administrative activities.
- Prepare comprehensive team performance reports and provide regular portfolio recovery insights to executive leadership.
- Drive a strong culture of accountability, financial discipline, and customer-sensitive recovery practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in collections or field recovery, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of delinquency management, roll rates, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proven track record in managing, coaching, and motivating high-performing field teams.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, conflict resolution, and data-driven analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with modern reporting tools.
